bone-white comes the night
gold-blazing through desert sky
trail unbound by winter's solstice
she rises tide-locked
beyond a creaky old door
never-fixed, sulphuric decay
hollowing into stars
pliant memories, taut flesh
flensing, flaying
inky tendrils weaving silk
locks spilling carelessly
glinting silver-sharp
fully saccharine, you return home
to me, a talon-less raven
and the sun rises again,
and he sighs
